Baking It Away
This is another another fantastic method for removing oil and dirt from tin muffin tins! When the muffin pan holes are very oily, use this procedure.
It should be noted that, although this procedure is excellent for removing baked-on debris from muffin tin holes, it is ineffective for cleaning the flat, top, or bottom surface of the muffin tin pan.
So, let’s look at how to bake muffin tin pans in just five simple steps.
Preheat the oven and prepare a baking soda solution.
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (177 C). Meanwhile, make a baking soda solution by dissolving baking soda in water.
In a medium-sized dish of water, combine two teaspoons of baking soda. Warm water is ideal for this purpose. Stir with a spoon until the baking soda is fully dissolved in the water.
If you run out of baking soda, you may simply use plain water to clean the baking fat from your muffin tin.
Although water will help to dislodge some oil, the baking soda solution will provide greater results. It will be more effective in removing tough muck.
Step 2 Pour the Baking Soda Solution into the Muffin Holes
Fill one-third of each muffin hole with baking soda solution. When the baking soda solution is ready, pour it gently into the muffin holes. Resist filling the muffin holes all the way to the top, but be sure you fill at least two.
Bear in mind that the steam from the solution will remove any minor oil from the muffin pan’s surface.
But, if the surface has too much baked-on crud on it, you may need to attempt another approach to entirely remove it.
Step 3 Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake for 8 to 20 minutes, depending on the size of the muffin pan. If you haven’t cleaned your muffin pan in a while and it has a lot of baked-on oil, baking it clean will take around 20 minutes.
If you are cleaning the pan after a single usage, however, as little as 8 minutes should be sufficient to release the oil and grime.
As a result, make sure you set the oven timer depending on the state of your muffin pan.
Step 4: Let the Pan to Cool
Take the muffin tin from the oven and place the baking soda solution in the sink to drain. Remember to put on oven gloves to protect your hands.
Put the muffin pan on a heat-safe surface to cool for a few minutes. Nevertheless, do not wait until it has totally cooled.
Step 5: Remove Any Leftover Grease
Although the baking powder solution aids in the removal of baked-on muck, your muffin tin will most likely need some cleaning.
Thus, as soon as the muffin pan is cold enough to handle, rinse it in the sink to remove any leftover oil. Scrub the pan thoroughly with a sponge or bristle brush dipped in dish soap.
If you use a brush, make sure the bristles are nylon. When you scrub, this will prevent the brush from creating scratch marks on the muffin pan.
After the residual dirt has been removed, thoroughly rinse the pan with water to eliminate the soap residue.

Put aside the muffin pan to dry. Depending on how thickly you applied the paste, drying time might range from a few minutes to an hour.
